S2 Del Mar
Silent torque, a new shape for an old soul. The most fun electric on sale.

In one line
The electric bike that feels like a motorcycle first and an appliance never. City range is real, highway range is not.
What is new for 2026
LiveWire cut the Del Mar's MSRP from $15,499 to $11,999 as a permanent price reduction across the S2 platform. The bike itself is unchanged: 10.5 kWh battery, 84 hp, and Level 2 charging.

The review
Five parts, no spec-sheet copying.
“Silence has a texture. You hear the chain, the wind, your own breathing. The bike did not lose its voice. You learn to listen differently.
Mechanical Breakdown
The Del Mar is built on LiveWire's Arrow platform: a 10.5 kWh battery pack that doubles as the frame's structural core, with the motor, inverter, and charger integrated into a single cast module. The motor makes 84 hp and 263 Nm instantly. Suspension is a 43 mm inverted Showa fork and a Showa shock, both adjustable, and the brakes are Brembo.
Charging is Level 1 and Level 2 only, with a 20 to 80 percent charge in about 78 minutes on Level 2. No DC fast charging.
Ride Character
The Del Mar is a hooligan in silence. Instant torque, no gears, and a chassis that weighs 197 kg make it the most fun urban motorcycle I have ridden. The ride modes range from gentle to properly wild, and the regenerative braking is adjustable enough to ride one-pedal style.
Range is the honest number: around 180 km in the city, closer to 110 on the highway. This is a city bike with weekend potential, not a tourer.
Maintenance Outlook
No oil, no valves, no chain lube on the belt drive. Brake pads last forever thanks to regen. The trade-offs are software: LiveWire pushes over-the-air updates, and long-term support depends on a company that Harley-Davidson has been restructuring. Battery warranty is five years.
Who It's For
The urban rider with home charging who wants the most engaging electric motorcycle available, and who does not need highway range. Also the rider who wants to try electric without the Zero's weight.
Jun's Verdict
The Del Mar is the electric bike that made me stop thinking about the battery and start thinking about the corner. At the new $11,999 price it is finally fair value, though the lack of DC charging is a real limitation, but as a city motorcycle it is a joy. Watch the company's health before buying.
