Scout Bobber
The reinvented Scout: a liquid-cooled 1250 V-twin in a real steel frame.

In one line
The Scout finally has a frame worthy of its engine. The lowest seat on this list, and one of the best cruisers under fifteen thousand.
What is new for 2026
The 2025 generation introduced the SpeedPlus 1250 V-twin, a tubular-steel frame, and three trim levels including the Limited +Tech with a 4-inch round touchscreen. For 2026 the range carries over with new colours.

The review
Five parts, no spec-sheet copying.
“A low seat is a form of confidence. The Scout gives it to riders who never had it on a big bike.
Mechanical Breakdown
The 2025 Scout is a new platform. The SpeedPlus 1250cc liquid-cooled V-twin makes 105 hp and 108 Nm, up from the old 1133, and it sits in a new steel tube frame that replaced the previous cast-aluminium design, improving both stiffness and looks. The Bobber is the lowest and leanest of the five variants; the Sport Scout adds a mini fairing, a riser, and sportier ergonomics.
Ride modes, traction control, and a round TFT on the Limited trim are available; the base bikes keep an analogue-style display.
Ride Character
The Scout is the most accessible big cruiser here thanks to the 665 mm seat, and the new engine is smooth and tractable with a growl above 4,000 rpm. It handles better than any Scout before it and stops well with the single 298 mm front disc. The Sport Scout's ergonomics are the best for taller riders.
Suspension travel is short, and rough roads reach your spine.
Maintenance Outlook
Liquid cooling and hydraulic lifters mean minimal valve work, and the belt drive is fuss-free. Indian's dealer network is smaller than Harley's but growing, and the SpeedPlus engine is new enough that long-term data is thin, though early reports are good.
Who It's For
The shorter rider who wants a real cruiser, the new cruiser rider, and anyone who wants Harley-style presence with a liquid-cooled engine and a lower price.
Jun's Verdict
The new Scout is the best mid-size cruiser in years, and the frame change fixed the old bike's only real flaw. It is not as fast as the Low Rider S, but it is lighter, lower, and cheaper, and the Sport Scout is the one I would buy.
