The philosophy, as I read it
Suzuki builds fewer new models than its rivals and keeps them in production longer, which frustrates reviewers and delights owners. The SV650 has been essentially the same excellent bike since 1999. The GSX-R750 defined a class and outlived it. Suzuki's philosophy is that a good design does not need replacing every four years, and its used prices agree.
History in a paragraph
A loom manufacturer from 1909 that built its first motorised bicycle in 1952. The GT750 water buffalo, the GS1000, the GSX-R750 of 1985 that brought race-replica design to the street, the Hayabusa that ended the top-speed wars, and the DR-Z400 that became the default dual sport. Suzuki left MotoGP at the end of 2022 to focus on road bikes.
