Street Triple 765 RS
Moto2's engine on the road, with the best chassis balance in the class.

In one line
The most complete middleweight naked money can buy. It costs what it costs because nothing on it is a compromise.
What is new for 2026
The 2025 update raised the RS to 130 PS and added Brembo Stylema calipers, an Öhlins STX40 shock, and revised bodywork. For 2026 the range gains the 765 RX special edition and a Moto2 livery.

The review
Five parts, no spec-sheet copying.
“Balance is the rarest quality in a motorcycle, and this one has it in every corner.
Mechanical Breakdown
The 765cc triple is the basis of the Moto2 engine, and the RS version gets high-compression pistons, revised ports, and a redline of 12,100 rpm for 130 PS. The Showa 41 mm big-piston fork and Öhlins STX40 shock are fully adjustable, and Brembo Stylema calipers with a Brembo MCS master cylinder are the best brakes on any naked under 200 kg.
A six-axis IMU drives cornering ABS and traction control, and the bidirectional quickshifter is standard. The 5-inch TFT is one of the clearest in the business.
Ride Character
The Street Triple RS is balance made physical. The triple pulls from 3,000 rpm and screams to 12,000, and the chassis is so evenly weighted that you never feel the front or rear dominating. It is faster than the MT-09 at the top end and calmer than the 990 Duke everywhere.
The riding position is sportier than either, with a tall 836 mm seat and low bars that suit a track day more than a commute.
Maintenance Outlook
Service intervals are 16,000 km with valve checks at 32,000 km. Triumph's build quality has been consistently high since the move of Street Triple production to Thailand, and the triple is a known quantity. Access is good with no fairing, though the Öhlins shock wants a periodic service that most owners skip.
Who It's For
The experienced rider who wants one bike that is genuinely excellent everywhere and is willing to pay for it. Also the middleweight I would choose for track days above all others.
Jun's Verdict
The Street Triple RS is the class benchmark for chassis balance and brakes, and the triple is one of the great modern engines. It costs more than the MT-09 and lacks the 990 Duke's raw edge, but it is the one I would recommend without hesitation to anyone with the budget and the skill to use it.
